In April 2026 a United States Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet was shot down over Iran. Both the pilot and weapons officer ejected, and landed on Iranian soil. The pilot was rescued quickly, but the weapons officer, known as Dude 44 Bravo, spent 50 hours evading Iranian forces before being rescued by US forces. On Sunday, September 13, 2026 he appeared on 60 Minutes to tell his story, and he wore his Wasson Automatic Field Watch.
